Comboni’s unconditional love for the peoples of Africa had its origin and model in the saving love of the Good Shepherd who offered his life on the Cross for humanity. “Trusting in that most Sacred Heart … I feel more inclined to suffer… and to die for Jesus Christ and for the salvation of the unhappy peoples of Central Africa”

Oremos Por Vocaciones Misioneras
¡Oh Jesús, Pastor Eterno de las Almas!
Dígnate mirar con ojos de misericordia a esta porción de tu grey amada.
Señor, apiádate ya de nuestra necesidad de vocaciones.
Danos vocaciones misioneras, religiosas, sacerdotales y laicales
Como las pedía San Daniel Comboni: santas y capaces,
para que tengan como Jesús el corazón de Buen Pastor
el cual sufre y se apiada de los pobres y abandonados
y los va a buscar en la situación en la que se encuentren.
Te lo pedimos por la Inmaculada Virgen María de Guadalupe,
tu Dulce y Santa Madre.
¡Oh Jesús, danos vocaciones para tu Iglesia según tu corazón!

Pray for Missionary Vocations
Oh Jesus, Eternal Shepherd of Souls!
Tell yourself to look with mercy eyes at this portion of your beloved flock.
Lord, have mercy on our need for vocations.
Give us missionary, religious, priestly and lay vocations
As Saint Daniel Comboni asked for: holy and capable,
so that they have like Jesus the heart of Good Shepherd
which suffers and takes pity on the poor and abandoned
and he will look for them in the situation in which they find themselves.
We ask this for the Immaculate Virgin Mary of Guadalupe,
Your Sweet and Holy Mother.
Oh Jesus, give us vocations for your Church according to your heart!
